Project Background
A well-known hot pot restaurant planned to open in the central atrium of a large shopping mall. Unlike a traditional restaurant, the dining area was completely open to the surrounding public space, making ventilation requirements far more demanding.
The mall management enforced extremely strict environmental standards. No visible smoke or cooking fumes were allowed to escape into the public area, and the glass atrium ceiling made it impossible to install any overhead exhaust ducts or ventilation hoods.
The Challenge
The customer needed a hot pot solution that could completely eliminate visible smoke without relying on ceiling-mounted ventilation systems.
This was one of the biggest challenges of the project. Traditional exhaust systems simply could not be installed, and any visible smoke during the mall’s on-site inspection would result in the project being rejected.
Our Solution
To meet both the mall’s strict ventilation requirements and the restaurant’s premium interior design standards, CENHOT provided a complete high-end smokeless hot pot table solution.
We supplied our premium hot pot tables featuring elegant gold-trimmed edges, creating a luxurious appearance that perfectly complemented the modern shopping mall environment.
Instead of relying on traditional ceiling-mounted exhaust systems, our advanced recirculating smokeless technology captures cooking fumes directly around the edge of each hot pot. The smoke is immediately drawn into the concealed air intake system inside the table, preventing it from escaping into the surrounding dining area.
Within the limited space beneath each table, we integrated a high-efficiency air purification unit that effectively removes grease, smoke, and odors before clean air is recirculated back into the restaurant.
The result is a clean, comfortable, and smoke-free dining experience while preserving the elegant appearance of the restaurant. By combining premium table design with advanced smokeless technology, CENHOT delivered a solution that met both the customer’s branding expectations and the shopping mall’s strict environmental standards.
The Result
The project successfully passed the shopping mall’s extremely strict on-site smoke emission test.
The restaurant became the only hot pot concept approved to operate in the mall’s open atrium, where conventional ventilation systems were not permitted.
The success of this project also attracted the attention of the mall management, who later showcased the restaurant as a benchmark project for future food and beverage tenants.
This project demonstrates CENHOT’s ability to solve complex restaurant ventilation challenges through innovative engineering, customized equipment, and practical commercial experience.
